Testosterone propionate is used for intramuscular injections and contains testosterone propionate, an oil-soluble form of the androgenic hormone testosterone, specifically 4-androsten-3-one, 17β-ol. Testosterone propionate is esterified with a short ester. Therefore, 100 mg of testosterone propionate delivers 83.72 mg of testosterone, which is higher than any other ester-based testosterone preparation with a comparable total dosage.
